Sold me a used 2023 RAV4 with 3300 miles, for $1500 over MSRP. Since used Toyotas lose $5k the second they drive off the lot, they marked it up $6500. I went there to look at a different car and ended up loving the RAV4, but could not remember the MSRP on that model. The internet wasn’t working so I couldn’t double check & knew that the dealership had a great reputation. When I went home I realized that I was ripped off and it was disheartening. I could have bought a brand new car for $1500 less and a lower interest rate. So they do not ‘markup’ over ‘their’ sticker price - but check the factory’s sticker price and purchase directly from the manufacturer.
