Was interested in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra N from this dealer. They have my contact info so they let me know they had one coming in. Weirdly asked me what I was thinking price wise. MSRP is about $34,500 or so. I said $36-37k OTD. Dealer came back with saying the price is $34,860 + a $5,000 markup + another $1485 in dealer installed options I was told they would NOT remove. I was told the markup was negotiable but that depended on me coming in. I didn't respond because I'm not paying for what amounts to be their bonus.
Apparently though someone didn't have a problem paying it as the car isn't listen on the dealers site anymore.
